Please join us in welcoming Michael Magerl as the new Terminal Manager for our Atlanta Refrigerated division.
Mags has been part of the Knight family since 2007, starting as a Dry Operations Driver Manager before taking on roles as a Planner, Lead East Weekend Planner, and eventually transitioning to Knight Refrigerated in 2016 as the East Weekend Reefer Planner. With years of experience and a deep understanding of our operations, he is dedicated to making Atlanta the refrigerated flagship of the East.
What Mags loves most about Knight is the strong "We are Family" culture. He is excited to continue growing with the team, developing future leaders, and helping drivers succeed. Known for sharing memories of the old days, he brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership, and a passion for teamwork.
Outside of work, Mags enjoys spending time with his wife Tanya, a nurse, and their six children. His family loves traveling, especially to the beach. A retired police detective from Pennsylvania, he is also a two-time cancer survivor and bone marrow transplant recipient. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, working on home projects, and cheering on his kids in their activities.
