Memorial Day Alcohol Awareness

Memorial Day Weekend can be an extremely dangerous time on our roadways.

Exposure to alcohol-drug-related driving incidents has dramatically increased. If you are going to consume alcoholic beverages, please ensure that you are completely off-duty and no drinking within 12 hours of going on-duty. Drivers should not be on company property or inside the truck until 12 hours after the consumption of alcohol.

Tips for the weekend:

• Be aware of your surroundings

• Pay attention

• Increase follow distance

• Obey speed limits

• Have an escape route

• Cut out distractions

Law Enforcement will be conducting extensive DUI Task Forces, Sobriety Checkpoints, and Saturation Patrols during this holiday period.
