Knight University

What is Knight University and Bridge?

Knight University is the name of our company's training program. Think of it as the school where all your learning and training for Knight happens. When you hear "Knight University," that's our brand - it's the training made for you as a Knight driver or office employee.

Bridge is the learning system (the technology) we use to deliver Knight University. It's like the classroom or website that holds all the course, videos, and tests. You log into Bridge to access Knight University.

Bridge App for IOS/Apple

iOS Requirements

The Bridge App for iOS requires the last 2 major iOS versions to function.

Downloading & Logging In for iOS/Apple Users

Click the "Download Bridge" button below to take you directly to the Bridge App to download/install. If you search the app store, you can find the correct Bridge App by searching "bridge: lms".

Once installed, open the Bridge: LMS app.

  1. Once the app is opened, you will have to enter in the Knight University domain.

  2. Make sure you have the "My Bridge domain URL ends with .bridgeapp.com" toggled on. (1)​

  3. The "Find your domain URL" option will explain how to identify and use your domain.

  4. The domain for Knight University is knightu-swift. Make sure to type this into the text field (2).

  5. After entering in the domian information, click the Continue button (3).

After you enter in the domain, you will be prompted to allow the bridge app to log you in. Click Continue.

After you enter in the domain, you will be prompted to allow the bridge app to log you in. Click Continue.

  1. Enter your username (1)

    1. Your username is your employee ID (found on your pay stub). This ID may differ from your Driver Code.​

  2. Enter your password (2)

  3. Tap the Sign In button (3)

  4. If you don't know your password, tap the Forget your password? link (4)

Once you click Sign In, you can save your password and stay logged in on your device so you will not need to log in again. You will then be brought to the main dashboard on the app and will be able to complete your training.

Bridge App for Android

Android Requirements

Make sure your device is running Android 8.0 or later.

Downloading & Logging In for Android Users

Click the "Download Bridge App for Android" below to take you directly to the Bridge App to download/install. If you search the Google Play store, you can find the correct Bridge App by searching "bridge: lms".

After installation, tap "Open" or find it on your home screen to start using.

Knight University Usernames

Company Drivers:   Your username is your employee ID. You can find this number in the top left corner of your pay stub. Your password is one you set that is unique to Knight University.

Owner Operators:  Your username is your driver code. Your password is your birthday in the format MMDDYY.

Logging In To Knight University

Should I use the Mobile App of Bridge or the Desktop Version?

You can choose to access Knight University through the Bridge LMS App on your phones/tablets, or you can access Knight University on a computer. We have computers at Knight Terminals that you can always use to complete your required trainings.  However, there are several benefits of using the Bridge LMS App on your phones/tablets to take your courses:

  • The App significantly enhances the Knight University experience for users on mobile devices. l

  • The App can be used to download courses to your device so you can complete them without wifi/mobile data.

  • Using the app allows drivers to complete training while over the road.

If logging in on a public/shared computer

Double-check it is your account logged in when using a public/shared computer. When you log in on a public computer, there is a chance it logs in as the previous learner. Once in Knight U, click the gear/settings icon in the lower left of the Knight U screen. This will bring up who is logged in. If you don't see your name, please log out and clear the browser cache, and log back in. Please click the gear/settings icon again to ensure you are now logged in. This will ensure the training is tracking to your account correctly.

Having issues logging in?

If you are having issues logging in, double-check you are entering the correct username. Your username is your employee ID (the number found on your pay stub). It may not match your driver code. If you have never set up and logged into your account on the Bridge system, please contact knightlearninganddevelopment@knighttrans.com for assistance.

Required vs. Recommended Courses

Required Courses

These are the courses you must complete. They include things like your Safety Bonus courses or any training needed for company tools and compliance. Completing these keeps you eligible for safety bonuses and ensures you meet company requirements.

Any Required course with a due date can become overdue and end up in the Needs My Attention section at the top of your learning. These are high priority to complete.

Every Wednesday, you will be emailed a weekly Learning Summary that will list any items you have overdue. You can click the link in the email to login to Knight University and start coompleting these items.

These are optional courses you can take anytime. They're not tied to your monthly requirements. Instead, they give you the chance to self-assign training that interests you or helps with your professional growth.
